Terms and Conditions

The following Booking Agreement Terms and Conditions are applicable to any Programs published by Zehnder Travel Group, Inc., dba LutherTours, Christian Travel Planners (the “Operator”). Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. These terms and conditions together with our privacy policy, release, and any other documentation we provide you form the basis of your contract with us (hereinafter The Agreement). This Agreement effects your legal rights. The lead passenger assumes the responsibility of sharing The Agreement with each passenger in their group, including payment of all amounts when due. It is the responsibility of each passenger to read The Agreement in its entirety. By booking a tour with us, you are accepting and consenting to The Agreement. If you do not agree to the Terms and Conditions, you must not make any booking with us. We may make changes to these terms from time to time. Any changes will be effective immediately and the terms and conditions that will apply are those in effect at the time of your Program.

The terms "we", "us", "our", “Operator", and “LutherTours” refer to Zehnder Travel Group, Inc., dba LutherTours, Christian Travel Planners. The term "you" “I” “participant” or “customer” refers to the customer booking a reservation through us. Reference to “Suppliers” and “Service Providers” means all third parties who provide services to you including airlines unless otherwise specified.

By making a booking with us, you affirm that you are at least 21 years of age and possess the legal authority to enter into this agreement in accordance with all Terms and Conditions herein. If you are making travel reservations or bookings for another person you agree to inform that person(s) about the Terms & Conditions that apply to the travel reservations and bookings you have made on their behalf, including all rules and restrictions applicable thereto and these Terms and Conditions. You agree to be financially responsible for all bookings you make. You are responsible for any bookings and travel reservations made by persons under your direction or control. You also warrant that all information supplied by you or on your behalf, or by members of your household is true, current, complete and accurate. Furthermore, you also confirm that the traveler is not an unaccompanied minor.

PRICES. All rates quoted are per person, in U.S. Dollars, based on two persons sharing a room. Single supplements may be available. Rates are based on tariffs and exchange rates in effect at the time of printing and are subject to change without notice. Rates subject to change due to exchange rates. Air fares, taxes, fees subject to change by carrier at any time.

DEPOSITS AND FINAL PAYMENT. A deposit of $350 per person is required to register unless otherwise indicated.

  • Additional payments and balance of payment, must be received by LutherTours at least 75 days prior to tour departure.

*Special event tours such as Passion Play tours or River cruise tours may require additional payments and balance due no later than 120 days prior to tour departure. Refer to your invoice for additional payment due dates.

  • Late registration must be accompanied by full payment and is subject to late fees, or airline supplements.

  • LutherTours reserves the right to cancel reservations if deposit or final payment is not received by due dates and to apply the applicable cancellation penalties indicated on this document.

  • A $45 fee will be charged on all checks returned unpaid.

Payments may be made by Cashier’s, Personal or Agency Check, American Express, Visa, MasterCard or Discover cards.

TOUR DOCUMENTS. Including airline tickets, final itinerary and hotel list are sent USPS 21-days prior to departure provided full payment has been received.

YOUNG TOUR PARTICIPANTS. Tour participants under the age of 21 years must be accompanied by an adult. Not recommended for children under ten years. Child prices available upon request.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS. If a change becomes necessary for any reason, hotels substituted will be equivalent of those on your itinerary. Single rooms are available at additional cost. With few exceptions, all rooms offer private facilities. All tours have a specific number of pre-reserved allotments. In the event this number is exceeded, for any reason, the Operator reserves the right to allocate part of the group in another hotel of similar characteristics.

TOUR MEMBERSHIP. In order to ensure congenial membership, LutherTours reserves the right to accept or reject any person as a tour participant and to expel from the tour any participant whose conduct is deemed incompatible with the interest of the tour group.

AIR TRANSPORTATION. If the tour price includes round-trip air transportation it will be in economy class. Any cancellation, itinerary change or failure to use confirmed space will be subject to penalties levied by the airline at the time of ticketing. Airfare and airline schedules are subject to change without notice.

NOT INCLUDED IN TOUR PRICE. Foreign departure, taxes security, port charges, park fees, U.S. Customs, immigration, agricultural, applicable passenger facility charges, and international transportation tax are not included unless indicated. Tips for the tour manager, coach driver and local city guides; gratuities on cruise ships, unless otherwise noted. Passports and visa fees, laundry, beverages and food not on the regular table d’hote menu (these items will be billed to you before leaving the hotel or restaurant), as well as all other items of a personal nature. This list is illustrative and not a complete list of every item not included.

REVISION FEES. A $50 per person charge plus additional fees charged by supplier will apply. Changes in departure date, itinerary or passenger name is considered a cancellation and a new booking is required. All changes are subject to availability and prices subject to change. No change will be made unless permitted under the terms of our cancellation policy.

CANCELLATIONS. Regardless of reason, cancellations are costly. To offset these costs the following fees will apply, non-recoverable expenses of our suppliers will be charged, plus these per person charges:

ADDITIONAL PENALTIES MAY APPLY FROM SUPPLIERS

  • If a cruise is included in your tour, special cancellation penalties dictated by the cruise line apply. Refer to cancellation penalties imposed by cruise line in your tour

  • Cancellation charges also apply to additional accommodation reserved prior to and after the tour.

  • Cancellations must be received in writing by 5:00PM PST on the last business day of the applicable time period.

  • Airline fees apply for flight changes or cancellations.

  • Roommates canceling resulting in a single supplement charge for the traveler, the Participant will be responsible for the single charge if a substitute roommate is not found.

  • LutherTours cannot assume responsibility for additional costs or fees relating to the issuance and/or cancellation of air tickets or arrangements not made through LutherTours.

Force Majeure. We cannot accept liability or pay any compensation or refunds where the performance or prompt performance of our contractual obligations is prevented or affected, or you otherwise suffer any loss, injury, death, inconvenience or damage as a result of circumstances amounting to “force majeure”. “Force majeure” means any event or circumstances which we or the supplier of the services in question could not foresee or avoid. Such events and circumstances may include, acts of God, actual or threatened, war, insurrection, riots, strikes, civil action, decisions by governments or governing authority, technical or maintenance problems with transport, changes of schedules or operational decisions of air carriers, terrorist activity or the threat thereof, industrial action, natural or nuclear activity, epidemics/pandemics or the threat thereof, quarantine, medical or customs or immigration regulation, delay, or cancellation, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events outside our control.

TRAVEL & HEALTH DOCUMENTS. A passport valid for 6-months beyond the return travel date is required for all travelers. It is the responsibility of the passengers to check with the appropriate consulates and medical personnel to determine if visas are required and what health precautions and documents are necessary. The Operator accepts no responsibility for failure to notify travel participants of customs/immigration laws, health requirements.

TRAVELERS NEEDING SPECIAL ASSISTANCE. Any traveler with special needs requiring attention must advise LutherTours at the time of booking. LutherTours will make reasonable attempts to accommodate the special needs of tour participants, but is not responsible for any denial of services by carriers, hotels, restaurants and other independent suppliers. Motor coaches are not equipped with wheelchair ramps. We regret that we cannot provide individual assistance to tour members for walking, dining or getting on and off motor coaches. Motor Coach Company and other carrier employees may not physically lift participants or assist them on or off transportation vehicles. A qualified companion must accompany travelers who need such assistance.

BAGGAGE. Portage for one suitcase is included in the tour price. Due to limited coach capacity we strongly recommend each passenger to bring no more than one normal size piece of checked baggage and a carry-on travel bag. Extra baggage or excess weight will carry a surcharge and shall be paid as such to your tour manager. International air carriers may also impose fees for excess weight. No responsibility is accepted by LutherTours for loss of or damage to luggage or any other personal property.

SMOKERS. Smoking is not permitted on flights, motor coaches, restaurants or at hotels.

RESPONSIBILITY. Zehnder Travel Group, Inc. dba LutherTours, Newport Beach, California, hereinafter referred to as “the Operator”, acts as “agent” for you in making arrangements for tour services offered in this brochure, including transportation, sightseeing and hotel/lodge accommodation.

The air carriers, hotels/lodges, motor-coaches and other suppliers providing tour services are independent contractors and are not principals, agents, employers, employees, masters, servants, representatives, partners or joint venturers of the Operator or its affiliates. All tickets, receipts, coupons, and vouchers are issued subject to the terms and conditions specified by each supplier. The Operator is not liable for the acts, errors, omissions, representations, warranties, breaches or negligence of those independent contractors and is not liable for any personal injuries, death, property damage, or other damages or expenses resulting therefrom. Furthermore, the Operator is not liable for any act of God, acts of terrorism, war, defects in machinery, breakdown in equipment, weather, strikes, theft, change of fares or rates, delays, epidemics/pandemics or the threat thereof, quarantine, medical or customs or immigration regulation, delay, or cancellations and all similar events outside of our control.

The Operator has no special knowledge regarding the financial condition of the Suppliers, unsafe conditions, health hazards, weather hazards, or climate extremes at locations to which you may travel. For a warning about terrorism in Europe, go to:

For medical information, the Operator recommends contacting the Centers for Disease Control at (877) FYI-TRIP or www.cdc.gov/travel. You assume full and complete responsibility for checking and verifying any and all passport, visa, vaccination, or other entry requirements of your destination(s), and all conditions regarding health, safety, security, political stability, and labor or civil unrest at such destination(s). You hereby release the Operator from all claims arising out of any problem covered in this paragraph. YOU AGREE THAT THE COURTS IN ORANGE COUNTY WILL BE THE EXCLUSIVE JURISDICTION FOR ALL CLAIMS BROUGHT BY YOU OR the Operator, AND YOU HEREBY SUBMIT TO THE PERSONAL JURISDICTION OF THOSE COURTS.

All certificates and other travel documents for tour services issued by the Operator are subject to terms and conditions specified by supplier thereof, and to the laws of the countries in which the services are rendered.

If the services included in the tour cannot be supplied or there are changes in an itinerary for reasons beyond the control of the Operator, the Operator will arrange for the provision of comparable services, when possible. Any resulting additional expense will be payable by the tour participants and any resulting saving will be refunded by the Operator to tour participants. No further claim for reimbursement shall apply.

LutherTours reserves the right to accept or reject any person as a tour participant, to expel any tour participant from the tour, to make changes in the itinerary whenever the Operator deems it necessary for the comfort, convenience or safety of the tour participants, and to cancel a tour at any time.

CLAIMS. All guest claims must be submitted in writing and received by LutherTours no later than sixty (60) days after the completion of the LutherTours vacation. Guest claims not submitted and received within this time shall be deemed waived and barred. The statements herein and the contract between tour participants and the Operator are made and entered into in Orange County, CA. and governed by the laws of the state of California. Each tour participant understands that the Operator will be accepting that participant’s booking in reliance upon such participants’ acceptance of the within Tour Conditions.

No person, other than an authorized representative of the Operator by a document in writing, is authorized to vary, add or waive any term or condition in this brochure, including any term or condition set forth in the preceding provisions.

Zehnder Travel Group / LutherTours /Christian Travel Planners reserves the right to alter, adjust, modify or cancel any tour itinerary at any time without prior notification. Payment of the required deposit or any partial or full payment on a tour package constitutes consent to all provisions, conditions and general information contained in this printing. The above conditions may change at any time during the period of validation.

COVID-19 SPECIAL NOTICE- Global COVID-19 CONDITIONS ARE DYNAMIC


Those who choose to travel internationally may encounter mandatory COVID-19 pre-travel health form declarations, vaccinations and testing requirements, quarantines, travel restrictions, and closed borders. As well as, be required to wear face masks covering both nose and mouth while traveling by land, sea, air, motor ways, while sightseeing, and entry to monuments, museums and events as indicated by the travel suppliers and local governmental authorities. Foreign governments in any country may implement restrictions with little notice.


VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS, SURGICAL MASKS AND OTHER RULES. We have no responsibility for COVID-19-related requirements that travel suppliers and governments may impose from time to time, such as required vaccinations, health affidavit forms, COVID-19 screenings prior to departure or upon arrival, face coverings, or quarantines. Pack a personal supply of face masks, you will be required to wear a face mask over your nose and mouth while on public transporttion, in airports, onboard aircraft, and for sightseeing while on tour. Many airlines require a surgical mask, announcing that pax would no longer be allowed to board wearing fabric masks. See your airline website for details.


Any cost related to required travel regulations is the responsibility of the traveler. Requirements for travel due to Covid-19 are subject to change at short notice.
